Sport Premium Grant Expenditure - Opportunities, Impacts and Sustainability Details

The government provides dedicated funding to schools to enhance the quality of PE, physical activity, and well-being. At Crowhurst, we utilise this grant to ensure our pupils lead active, healthy lives while developing a lifelong love for sport.

We are committed to delivering a high-quality PE curriculum. Every week, our classes work with Specialist Coaches to develop their skills and knowledge through a progressive series of indoor and outdoor sports. To ensure this impact is sustainable, our teachers participate in every session, using this time as professional development to refine their own coaching techniques. Additionally, we welcome Funk Fusion for a specialist dance block, further broadening the creative and physical opportunities available to our children.

Beyond the weekly curriculum, we use our funding to provide memorable experiences that challenge our pupils and build school pride:

  • Performance Opportunities: We take centre stage at the Hastings White Rock Theatre for Time to Dance, an inter-school spectacular involving many local primary and secondary schools.
  • Inter-School Competition: Our pupils regularly represent Crowhurst in a variety of tournaments, including football, rugby, netball, and cross-country.
  • Active Environments: We invest in high-quality teaching resources and specialised breaktime equipment, ensuring our playground is a space where every child is engaged, active, and inclusive.
